Presidents/Founders
Anvi and Tanvi Chaturvedi are identical twins and high school juniors based in Maryland. They founded The RAY Foundation out of a shared passion for ensuring that children around the world have equal access to opportunities and the resources they need to succeed.
Beyond their commitment to supporting neurodiverse youth, they are deeply invested in educating their community and raising awareness around inclusion, equity, and access.
They aspire to pursue careers in medicine, driven by a long-standing goal of helping create a healthcare system where underserved individuals feel safe, supported, and unafraid to seek the care they deserve.
Through The RAY Foundation, they hope to expand their impact internationally by fostering more inclusive, accepting environments for underprivileged and neurodiverse youth, and helping ensure that every child has the chance to experience a normalized, supported childhood.
The RAY Foundation was founded by Anvi and Tanvi Chaturvedi at the age of 14 after understanding what some of their cousins had gone through with their autism and mental health struggles. As children, almost all of their family members lived across the world, so they barely got to see them. Their cousins, who did live nearby, unfortunately had limited communication due to them having different levels of autism. Anvi and Tanvi watched as they struggled to get the same opportunities and didn't get to properly express their feelings. This encouraged them to work and make a difference so that people recognize autistic children because they deserve so many more chances than they are currently getting.
In 8th grade, their fourth-grade teacher, whom they really loved and were inspired by, was diagnosed with breast cancer and unfortunately passed away a year later. This greatly impacted them and drove their efforts to start raising both awareness and money for medical care and cancer research by selling homemade crafts and necessary resources through fundraisers.
Our team here at The RAY Foundation, with chapter executives and volunteers, is dedicated to bettering the lives of children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We are focused on providing as many resources, both physical and emotional, to assist youth around us to have the best and happiest childhood possible!
