Welcome to The Ray Foundation MD, our first chapter, which is based in Frederick, Maryland, and is dedicated to making a positive impact within the community. Established in 2023, The Ray Foundation MD marks the beginning of our efforts to support the development of youth and children in a sustainable and nurturing environment. By joining us at the RAY-MD chapter, you contribute to our noble cause and play a pivotal role in fostering meaningful change in the lives of young individuals.

Anvi Chaturvedi, a sophomore at Urbana High School in Frederick, Maryland, exemplifies a profound dedication to community service and leadership. Her enthusiasm for helping the community is evident through her tireless efforts in organizing events and volunteering. Beyond her academic pursuits, she enjoys playing field hockey on her school team and finds joy in reading, singing, crocheting, Indian classical dance, and baking. Anvi is also an active member of several school clubs, including Model UN, HOSA, and is the social-media manager for UNICEF. showcasing her commitment to diverse interests and global awareness. Her multifaceted involvement is driven by a passion for making a meaningful impact in the community.

As a Co-President of our chapter, Tanvi, a sophomore at Urbana High School, brings a passionate commitment to community service and a dynamic approach to leadership. She thrives on organizing events and volunteering, dedicating her time to fostering community engagement and support. An avid field hockey player, she balances her athletic pursuits with a love for reading, dance, and writing, enriching her perspective and expression about civics. She loves learning about cultures around the world and has even developed a multi-lingual proficiency to expand her communication abilities! Tanvi is also involved in an array of extracurricular activities, including HOSA, Model UN, and is the treasurer for UNICEF, further demonstrating her dedication to broadening her impact and skills through diverse interests.

Vyaan Sharma is a fifth grader at Whittier Elementary School. Some of his hobbies include music, where he loves to play the ukelele, guitar, and sing. He is also passionate about acting and playing basketball. Last fall, Vyaan started raking leaves in his neighborhood to raise funds to provide essential school supplies for underprivileged children in a small tribal school in Northeast India. This inspired him to join The RAY Foundation, where he can continue to do more projects for a larger cause!
